Dr Irwin’s practice is outstanding! The best mental health clinic in Norman and one of the best in the OKC metro. I have known Dr Irwin’s nurse practioner, Nicole, for many years, since she was a psych RN, and she’s an outstanding provider and person. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate, has a big heart, and really cares deeply about her patients. Although she’s not technically a therapist, she’s really helped me over the years through the good and bad in my life. She’s a great listener, offers great guidance, and really cares. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for her. I would entrust my health and life to her any time. She’s an outstanding provider. I highly recommend Nicole and Dr Irwin’s practice. I also saw Dr Koch, psychologist, when he was at OUHSC, and he’s an outstanding therapist and really helped me a lot during some difficult times in my life. If you need an outstanding mental health clinic, look no further than the Irwin Professional Building!

I have been a patient of Dr. Julia Irwin from 2005 until 2016 and can honestly say that she listens attentively and offers excellent advice, coping strategies, and viable steps towards handling my problems. She has basically saved my life period. In fact I was looking up her office phone number to make a new appointment when I came across this review page. I am sorry to see the negative reviews here and don't believe that those people ever really knew Dr. Irwin. I am very satisfied with the

Dr. Irwin is brilliant and stays up with current research. She had good ideas to manage my treatment resistant diagnoses. However, her office policies are unreasonably strict and authoritarian. If you are late for one appointment, you are fired. The reason or intention does not seem to matter. This is not patient-centered care, and it breaks any trust that has been built between provider and patient. Recommend looking elsewhere for mental health care that includes compassion and a human approach

Dr. Irwin's nurse practitioners and physician's assistants are very kind, understanding and empathetic. They helped me reach the correct diagnosis after being misdiagnosed for more than a decade by another psychiatrist. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Dr. Irwin has helped change my life. I didnt know I was suffering from PTSD but she helped put a name to it. I have seen her ever since and she always takes time to find out what my current status is and treats accordingly

My adult son is a patient of Dr. Irwin. The initial intake was thorough, and I felt she was very responsive to his issues. He usually sees Donna Bowers now, who we absolutely love. On occasion, our son has needed an emergency visit, and they provide that. Any time Dr. Irwin feels that she needs to check on him, she is sure to do so, which we truly appreciate. Dr. Irwin and Donna Bowers have helped our entire family with his issues. I highly recommend Dr. Irwin & Donna Bowers. They're a godsend!

I went to Dr. Irwin for a few years. She was the first psychiatrist I had ever been to so I didn't have any experience to know whether my experience was normal or not. Dr. Irwin broke Dr. /patient confidentiality by standing in the doorway of waiting room talking to father of patient stating patient needed to be inpatient. Last visit to Dr. Irwin I was severely depressed and needed help. Visit was about 5 minutes, not normal 10. She didn't acknowledge my concerns. Told me I was doing good.

As a medical student I started experiencing mental health issues. I decided to seek professional care at Dr. Irwin's practice. My first visit lasted about 10 minutes. This visit consisted of an extremely inadequate gathering of my medical history and a bewildering dialogue about the treatment option. I left feeling extremely unsatisfied in the care I had received. My visit lacked some of the very most basic things that are taught early on in medical school. I received a very large bill following

Donna, the PA is fantastic. Due to a piss poor excuse of an office manager who lies to Dr. Irwin if you disagree with her I would say stay away. If Dr. Irwin hires and trusts such liars as her staff you should boycott, stay away, and findeed you a good doctor. Poor poor poor. And that's after going 17 years
