Dr. Frisancho's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Frisancho "Dr. Frisancho was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Both of his parents are native to Peru and he was raised speaking both English and Spanish. Although he was proud to complete college, medical school, and internship at the University of Michigan, he desired to explore beyond the Midwest. Subsequently, he completed orthopedic surgery residency in Los Angeles, California. He then supplemented his exceptional training with two fellowships in joint replacement surgery. Dr. Frisancho practices general orthopedics and has a special interest in hip and knee joint replacement surgery. He is the only surgeon in his group that is fellowship trained in joint arthroplasty. His sub-specialty focus is less invasive hip and knee replacements including the direct anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty. He is also fully trained in addressing the unique complications of joint arthroplasty. In his practice he combines progressive techniques with proven traditional methods to provide his patients with exceptional orthopedic care."

Dr. Frisancho just performed a full hip replacement on me. I am 13 days past the surgery and walking without a cane. He did an excellent job. He is an amazing surgeon. He is brilliant, skilled, and extremely well credentialed. He answered all of my questions, was patient and very easy to talk with....more

I've been in this office to see Dr. Frisancho twice. Scheduling was a nightmare, since they do not answer the phone. The first visit took 3 hours, the second visit took 2 (including wait time). The doctor was pleasant, but after everything I went through to see him, I was disappointed there was...more

Unfortunately this has occurred in the Los Angeles office. There, we do what we can to reasonably help a very underserved population. At times the schedule is overbooked, there is a wait for completing x-rays, patients and their complex medical concerns require more attention and time, and subsequently the schedule runs behind. I and management are aware of this and we are addressing this challenge with our current resources.

I was told I needed surgery on my ankle. I went to Dr Juan and he recommended physical therapy instead which avoids the long recovery from surgery. So glad I got a second opinion. Dr Juan is great! I trust him completely.
