Found out in early may2017 that i would be needing two valve replacements. I was very scared and afraid. Never had heart surgery before. Dr. Hermsen coached me through this heart process from beginning to end made me feel relaxed and comfortable. My heart surgery is completed. Its only two weeks later; and im walking talking, doing physical and occupational therapy and i must say i feel wonderful no pain and alot better then before. im so grateful to you,. 17 years ago I was diagnosed with multiple heart conditions, 5 years after a liver transplant. Dr. Hermsen agreed to perform open heart surgery to replace my Mitral Valve and correct other issues. Improvements are noticed daily, no complications. I climbed a few flight of stairs today without issue, 60 days ago that was not possible. He took a chance on me and I am forever greatful for his skills and knowledge. He is a very straightforward and amazing surgeon. 5 star professional.
