Utterly Rude and Condescending
See this doctor only if you want to waste your time and get insulted. Brought my teen child in to check out an enlarged lymph node under the chin, upon the recommendation by the child's pediatrician. This doctor briefly looked over the child, then asked for how long the child have had the enlarged lymph node. My child replied that the lump had been there for about three years. I then said "it did not catch my attention until a month ago when I noticed an unusual lump under the chin, ..." Before I was able to finish, the doctor interrupted and said "I am not talking to you." He then spent 5 minutes saying the lymph node was normal, and lecture me on how people often get obsessed over such things. When I tried to show him results of my child's bloodwork ordered by the pediatrician, on which a couple of items are outside the normal range, he said he did not know why the test was ordered and what those numbers mean, and that I should talk to the pediatrician about it.

Dr. Oppenheim was able to quickly diagnose and resolve a medical problem that had persisted for several weeks before visiting him. We appreciated his kindly and upbeat manner, and his staff were all kind and helpful as well.

In 2004 I was diagnosed with severe Apnea and after an awful experience with my first ENT doctor, I was referred to Dr. Oppenheim by my Dentist. So I visited him with high hopes and a positive feeling. He was very cordial, listened to my situation and read the sleep study. He examined me and confirmed I had Severe Apnea ( I know!!!). I was looking for an alternate therapy or solution to my condition. He said I should continue with the CPAP therapy and if a critical situation should occur, there would be no reason to return to his office. I left in shock. I was literally thrown out of his office. He has a terrible bedside manner, no TLC and no patient empathy. Now I am I investigating a new FDA approved therapy called “INSPIRE”. I won’t be inspired to return to his office. That’s a pun!

Dr. Oppenheim was very patronizing and was rolling his eyes at some of my questions. I was trying to understand the procedure and the pricing and he seemed offended by my questions. I’m not going back to him for my procedure.

Been to him twice, years apart. Although I was not satisfied with the first visit, his office is convenient to me, and I thought that perhaps my impression of him the first time was undeserved (it was a long time ago), but he proved me wrong. He was arrogant and brushed aside my concerns like they weren't worthy of his time.

Disappointed Patient in Burke – Oct 18, 2018

I saw Dr. Oppenheim because of an earache and some blockage of sound in that ear. Dr. Oppenheim asked if I had had a recent cold, which I had. After examining my ears and my sinuses, he diagnosed a retracted eardrum related to some remaining congestion in my Eustachian tube, a not unusual follow-up to a cold. I was completely satisfied with the exam, the questions and the time he spent with me, and I found him to be very cordial and communicative.

Am I dying? I had a biopsy. I was told results in 2 business days. About 4 business days later, I call. You don't need to call us for results! We will call you. 14 days after the biopsy, they call me. I call back 9 minutes later. I go through the correct menu options. The guy has no clue who called me. He even says No Eva works here. Huh? Finally, 22 minutes after my call--multiple hold times--I get to talk to Eva--She asks me if I had the biopsy done! She didn't look at my chart
