I would never recommend him. My cataract surgery was a total failure. My vision is worse now than before surgery, even though he insisted that my vision is now perfect and that I should not need corrective eye wear for distance. Several return visits did not resolve the problem.

I had an absolute terrible experience during my time here. I am beyond disappointed by the lack of organization and attention to detail from staff. I was scheduled with the wrong Doctor after being referred from another Doctor, was handed someone's paperwork including their medical information, and the Doctor I ended up seeing (who I had never heard of) could not even talk to me about the things I made the appointment for in the first place. They asked me to schedule a time with the correct doctor, who I called to make the appointment with in the first place. I took time off work for this appointment and drove a half hour each way. Would not and will not recommend to my friends, who are also looking for lip fillers. Worst experience I've ever had at a Doctor's office.

I am very impressed with Dr. Amato's dedication and caring for his patients. About 8 months ago, an ER Dr. diagnosed me with a retinal tear at about midnight on a Sunday night. He was able to get me an appointment with Dr. Amato for 9:00 the next morning. Dr. Amato was very kind and thorough. He referred me to the Retinal Institute that same day. On Tuesday morning I had surgery which restored my vision. I had cataract surgery this morning which went very well. I had a question about the upcoming surgery yesterday and asked his office if I could ask him a question? Dr. Amato called me a short time later and answered all my questions. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to him.

Went in for cataract surgery. Dr. Amato was extremely patient, and reassuring during the procedure. His assistant knew I was scared and she kept squeezing my hand to comfort me during the procedure. The surgery was perfect and I can see clearly again.
