Had had a very back lower lumbar pain for about 4 years. Can't stand more then 2 to 3 minutes. He glanced at my MIR said I had some problems . Loose weight .Ride a bike. I am 81 and had knee replacement and walk with a cane. He then said join YMCA and swim. I was really disappointed with his demeanor . Now a year later can hardly walk . Had shot in back locally, Danville, Va. Didn't help. Doctor said he couldn't get to where I needed shot.

Had bulging disk on both sides along with a slight slip of my spine. Dr. Stern put in 4 screws and 2 rods. First 2 weeks after surgery, I had pain, but he provided suffice to pain relief. After that I began to start my recovery. Developed a skin infection and was on an antibiotic. it completely healed. Very satisfied with surgery. No more leg pain immediately after surgery. Standing straighter and no more pain now. Can begin exercising now and doing things I previously had to give up.
