I highly recommend Dr. Shrager. He did a VATS surgery for my lung cancer 5 years ago. The surgery went very well and I fully recovered within a week. He did a remarkable job and was so thorough during surgery and after. He came to my hospital room twice a day to check on me. Currently, he does follow up surveillance once a year and after 5 years there's been no recurrence. I owe my life to him.

We wanted to get second opinion prior to VATS surgery to take out a Neuroendocrine carcinoid. It was an out of pocket visit (we are insured w/ Kaiser). Our experience was not good. We met with his assistant first - then once we met with him it was only for 5 minutes without even bothering to read the pathology report or look at PET scan prior to meeting with us.
