I had experienced1 1/2 years of pain before finally setting a surgery date & then COVID struck & all surgeries were canceled so by the time I got in I was in desperate need of surgery. I’m 73 so this was not a small undertaking. Dr, Lynch performed the surgery which went as planned. No problems. Truthfully the first month was not a picnic, I basically slept upright in my recliner with an ice pack. I have 4 ice packs & that kept the pain pretty manageable. My biggest fear was dislocation so I set up appointments with Foothills physical therapy. My therapist commented frequently about the excellent quality of surgery that Dr. Lynch had provided! I felt more comfortable knowing what my restrictions were with the therapy. I would highly recommend Dr. Lynch & his staff. They are very professional & extremely caring. If you’re scheduled with Dr. Lynch sit back & don’t worry, you’ll soon be pain free!!!!

Dr. Lynch called the night before my shoulder surgery to check in and be sure I was comfortable with the upcoming surgery. The day of surgery, he stopped by, answered all my question and reassured me. He answered all my questions and I felt confident the surgery would be a success.

After six months dealing with myriad delays and extensions from both my insurance company and its network of hospitals, I went out of network to get an arthrogram performed on my left shoulder with a day, and not the six weeks my network was telling me. Thankfully, the CEO a the Treasure Valley Hospital knew me and solidified my choice on Dr. Joseph Lynch as the surgeon I wanted. Dr. Lynch was professional in all aspects, walking me through what was wrong, other things he saw in the scans, and was able to get me into surgery months before my network could. Surgery went perfectly, the cast of characters fun and entertaining, and the professionalism from everyone involved with me was outstanding. Dr. Lynch phoned me the following day to see how I was doing, let me know what else he found and repaired, and set up a follow up within six days. He and his staff at the Shoulder Clinic of Idaho, including his outstanding nurse, April Reed, have been a blessing to me, and my care.

Dr. Lynch, Mike, April and the staff are absolutely the best. Dr. Lunch is the only doctor I have had that calls in person the day before and the day after surgery, the care that he shows is impeccable and of a high standard that all physicians should copy. Thank you again Dr. Lynch.

As a result of a mountain bike crash, that exacerbated arthritis in my shoulder, Dr. Lynch performed a total shoulder arthroplasty with the goal of increasing my range of motion and reducing the muscular atrophy it was causing. I'm less than a week from surgery and already have better range of motion. I researched Dr. Lynch's training and experience and talked with my primary care physician about the procedure and my choice of physicians. Dr. Lynch and his team were caring and communicative about my options for treatment. His video message on the Shoulder Clinic website was consistent with his approach to my care. He equipped me with the knowledge I needed to feel confident about my decision to have the surgery. I'm 59, and an active cyclist and skier, with the goal of staying very active over the next two decades and beyond. I'm confident I'll achieve that goal now, and I'm grateful for the care I've received from Dr. Lynch and his SC team.

Dr Lynch. Has to be "the Doctor " with the most empathy, kindness and skill, I have ever seen. Dr Lynch operated on my right shoulder and I am overwhelmed with the quality of his work. Dr Lynch called me the evening before my surgery and the day after my surgery. He honestly cares about his patients. If you need shoulder surgery I highly recommend him. Its is refreshing to have a doctor in Boise of his calibre.

I wanted to use a specialist rather than a general orthopedist, so I took the time to drive round trip 4 hours to work with Dr. Lynch as a first responder I needed to have a great outcome in order to do my job. After searching around I chose Dr. Lynch over a couple other because he was a veteran. The consultation and surgery was professional, compassionate, and effective. Dr. Lynch was an excellent surgeon and I would not hesitate to have him work on me or my loved ones.... now I just wished he did knees too.
