I want to thank Dr Hessel an his wonderful staff of doctors and nurses that helped made my aortic and valve replacement such an easy seeming procedure with an excellent outcome. It has been fifteen years since my valve replacement and in that time I've witness my 3 children get married and I now have 4 grandchildren (all boys). I'm feeling great and life is still worth living. Thanks again Dr Hessel .

Dr. Hessel on April 24, 2019 extended my life. The Doctor opened my chest and repaired my aneurysm on the thoracic ascending aorta near my heart. 12 weeks later, this 73 year old man is swimming many laps every day. Thank you Dr. Hessel

This doctor focuses on the sale of his procedure, and glosses right over the risks He talked up and down about being "honest" and "up front" but he was far from both. He sold my dad on a procedure that other doctors would not do, and unfortunately, my dad believed him and passed away shortly after surgery. Add to that the terrible way that he talks to his nurses and it isn't a good combination. Find a doctor who is a doctor first, not a salesperson first.

Dr. Hessel did my Dad's surgery and I can't say enough good things about him. He was kind and very professional. The surgery went very smooth and my Dad was able to recuperate amazingly.

Not impressed. The way he talks to his patients is horrible! I think he believes he can say anything because he's a step above you. He will even ask you to say "Thank you, for saving my life"! Better Doctors at Arizona Heart!

My situation was a mitro valve replacement surgery Dr Hessel was professional ,, He found out with many hours spent in my behalf that I was allergic to Heprin Could of been tragic. Only 1 percent of population has this My organs started shuting down. Ties and feet started to turn black Could of been tragic but I am here still. Doing great. Thank you

I was referred to Dr. Hessel by another vascular sugeon. My situation is demanding attention. We arrived on time for our appointment and were told Dr. is in surgery and will be about 1 1/2 hours late. We went for coffee and came back. We waited, several times we were told he is on his way!!! At 3 hours we gave up and left!!!! We understand a surgeon has emergencies, what we don't understand is why there is no communication to say he is not going to make it and we need to reschedule. Poor
