I have seen Dr.Ferrara for several years. I suffer from severe RLS and had almost given up on ever finding a doctor who could help me. Dr Ferrara was an answer to prayer He takes TIME to listen and evaluate the symptoms that other practitioners have discounted. He explains and teaches the patient about any diagnosis given before just prescribing another pill. I trust and respect him. Kind, respectful, a wonderful teacher - he has greatly increased my quality of life. Thank you Dr. Ferrara!

After recently being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease my father met with Dr Ferrara to confirm the diagnoses and obtain further information. Dr. Ferrara greeted us on-time in the waiting room and walked us down the corridor. He spent considerable time observing my father and testing him. Afterwards, he spent a significant amount of time explaining his conclusions and diagnoses, which he did not think was Parkinsons. My father and I were very impressed with him as a doctor and communicator

Just wanted to touch base with Dr Ferrara(Joe) I seen him as a patient when he worked at the U OF L NEUROLOGY CLINIC. He would always try to get me to have DBS. He aways said I was an ideal canidate because Carbidopa/Levodopa has always helped my Parkinson's disease. It began lasting less and less and now I am in the process of going through Stage 2 of DBS. Tomorrow the leads will be put in place. September 6 I had the markers for DBS placed. Then tomorrow is actual DBS. September 21 battery.

Dr Ferrara Takes a lot of time explaining things to you and answering your questions. He never seems in a hurry to leave and get to the next patient. He even came and called me in the waiting area as his nurse was busy and he didn't want me to wait longer.
