My son had a thoracotomy performed by Dr. Boyer. Dr. Boyer is an amazing surgeon and his assistants are knowledgeable, pleasant and thorough. We have been so blessed to find him. His office staff is amazing, also.

Waiting time was 2-3 hours each visit. The day of the surgery I was in the OR for over 4 hours while my family waited without hearing any news (even though Dr. Boyer had said the procedure would take 15 min.) Dr. Boyer didn't talk to me, nor my family the day of the surgery, or after. Recovery was awful despite the "simple" procedure. My take is that he's busy, and maybe too tired to be able to care for everyone. I would not trust him. Find a better doctor, even if you have to drive a bit more.
