Dr. Sarria's Care Philosophy

Dr. Sarria believes that patients inflicted with cancer pain and other symptoms are undertreated and misunderstood. The long lasting effects of chemotherapy, biotherapies, surgeries and radiation have initiated a new set of cancer ailments long after the cancer has gone into remission or has been eradicated. These survivorship issues require pain and palliative care physicians that are specialized in treating these conditions. The Peregrine Institute is a specialized cancer pain and symptom treatment facility that will continue to invest in the future of pain relieving techniques and break through treatments. Dr. Sarria has and will continue to dedicate his career to academia and continues his relationship and commitment to the University of South Florida and their College of Medicine.

He couldn't get to the source of my pain but he sure as hell tried. He tried a few non-narcotic methods and injections. He spent time with me, listens very well and I truly felt like he want to "fix" me and was genuinely disappointed when he couldn't.
