Dr. Jordan Brodsky aspires to be a twenty-first century Rheumatologist, blending his earliest experiences and knowledge gained in medical school, Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology fellowship. He thrives to be a truly understanding, compassionate, competent, and knowledgeable practitioner while striving to contribute to medical teaching and research. With the current medical advancements in disease modifying agents, biologic drugs, ultrasound and MRI, he aspires to be a dynamic Rheumatologist.
Dr. Jordan Brodsky obtained his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine - New York State American Branch. Dr. Brodsky then completed 3 years of Internal Medicine training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. From there Dr. Brodsky attended the Rheumatology fellowship at Alber tEinstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Brodsky was appointed to be the Administrative Fellow during his second year of Rheumatology training. Dr. Brodsky has taken an active role in research, publications, and leadership. During his fellowship he participated in the yearlong Ultrasound School ofNorth American Rheumatologists (USSONAR) musculoskeletal ultrasound course.
Dr. Brodsky is well published and has travelled around the country to presents his research. Dr. Brodsky leadership roles have included designing and publication of the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Rheumatology Ambulatory Curriculum, participating in the House Staff Committee, Quality Performance and Improvement Committee, Graduate Medical Education Committee, and Customer Service Satisfaction Committee.
Dr. Brodsky has actively participated in quality improvement projects and worked on increasing utilization of vaccines in the Rheumatology clinic prior to initiation of biological medication and increasing compliance with current recommendations for gout patients on a uric acid lowering agents meeting target goal uric acid levels. Dr. Brodsky is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology, American College of Physicians, Society of General Internal Medicine and Golden KeyHonor Society.
