He is affiliated with Verity Medical Group and serves as Director of Neurology at Saint Vincent Medical Center. Dr. Eskenazi earned his medical degree at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima, Peru. He completed his neurology residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident of Neurology. For the past few years, he has been the Vice-Chair of the North American Neuromodulation Society Resident Fellowship Section and a member of the Board of Directors for the California Neurology Society. "I have neurology in my blood and grew up with it in my heart, I came from three generations of neurologists, which triggered my interest in the neuroscience and continues to motivate me," explains Dr. Eskenazi. Pursuing his interests in comprehensive neurology, Dr. Eskenazi advocates for a Neuroscience excellence center at Saint Vincent Medical Center. Dr. Eskenazi is actively recruiting patients for genetics studies in patient with migraine and epilepsy. He has published on Cytochrome P450 (CYP) Genetic Analysis in a Population of Patients with Headache and Facial Pain, The Association between Migraine Headache and Vascular Risk Ascertained by Molecular Profiling Testing and CYP genotype and medication tolerability in a cohort of headache patients. Dr. Eskenazi's many years of training, followed by several years of clinical practice experience, includes all aspects of neurology, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, sleep disorders, botulinum toxin (botox) injections for migraine, dystonia, spasticity or hemifacial spasm patients, Neurostimulation for Parkinson disease, electroencephalogram studies, EMG and nerve conduction, and studies for any neuromuscular disorder patients."
