I had heard about Dr. Black and his colleagues from a friend. While I called to get in with Dr. Tangir who healed a friend who had stage 4 cancer, I was told that I could be squeezed in with Dr. Black. I needed to see a doctor soon and Dr. Black's office understood how important it would be for me to see a doctor as soon as possible, and helped me and made an appointment for me within days and squeezed me in. The office staff were helpful and friendly. Dr. Black engenders trust with his manner, professionalism and kindness. I recommend him.

I was blindsided with a uterine cancer diagnosis! I have always been active and healthy with no medications, I was emotionally falling apart. The office I was originally referred to could not get me in for 2 weeks. I called Dr. Black’s office and was easily given an appointment. The receptionist could not of been nicer. In the waiting room I was aware that other patients seemed at ease. The technicians were nice and friendly, never seemed rushed. Dr. Black came in and sat down to discuss my condition and what to expect. The experience was calming and reassuring. The process was explained simply and in detail. He discussed with me that he won’t know specifics until surgery and explained the steps of possibilities and processes of what may arise. I left my appointment a totally different person than when I arrived. I am in the right place, which is still 2 1/2hrs away. Worth the drive.

I actually have no issues with the doc himself or the front desk staff, he was great. My issue is with the surgical coordinator who absolutely should look into another profession. I booked my surgery approx 3 weeks prior to the actual date. Went in for my pre-op labs & COVID-19 test the Friday morning before. Turns out that my records were never sent to my insurance. I was told to still prep for surgery. After 12 hrs. of fasting and multiple phone calls I was finally told that it was canceled. After assurances for a return call for an update on when the surgery would happen and if I should cancel my PTO. 2 days passed and no call. I finally called in again and spoke to the office manager who assured me that Mildrey was still “working on it” and I would get a call, well 2 days later& still nothing. Seriously the most inconsiderate and unprofessional patient customer service I have ever experienced. That behavior is actually making me doubt the doc now. Considering going elsewhere.

Dr. Black is caring and compassionate. He also seems very meticulous and thrives for the best outcomes for his patients. Eileen, his front desk staff member is so smart. She remembers you and makes you feel like you’re part of her family. The only issue I had was with the surgical coordinator, Merlene, who doesn’t reply for days and doesn’t complete your FMLA paperwork on time. Merlene was a stressor during my illness and should really be held accountable On responding to patients within 2 days (she takes over a week).

I like everything about Dr Black. He's very kind and considerate. He throughly explained all the information about my surgical procedure and answered all my questions. He's patient with a gentle touch. His education and training is from the best schools in the USA. He's very bright and a great dedicated Dr. I'm so glad I chose him to be my Dr. It's rare to have such a great man helping and making informed decisions on my behalf. Thank you Dr Johnathan Black.

Dr Black was perfect for me. I told him that I had a history of SA so he would know why I was extra nervous. I also told him that I had had another OBGYN think it was appropriate to make a joke about this. He didn't ask questions or require me to explain, he just listened to what problems I was experiencing and laid out my options. He treated me as if I was competent (which I consider myself to be, but doctors who begin a meeting with the assumption that the patient is intelligent sometimes seem to be in very short supply). He was extremely professional. Respectful and friendly without any overfamiliarity which was perfect for me as it made the appointment and subsequent procedure/operation more businesslike for me. He came over after I woke from anesthesia and gave me information, and then we spoke once over Telehealth, which was an easy and straightforward appointment. His staff was also helpful anytime I had a question and when I had to change the surgical date. Big thanks to all!
