This Dr. is top notch. I am a new patient moving in from another state. Dr. Marcus spent nearly 1 hour in the first visit and asked important questions that no other cardiologist had ever asked He put me on a heart monitor for 1 month. Other Dr.s put me on a monitor for only 1 week. In the 3rd week the monitor triggered an alert for me to get to the hospital - my heart beat was 30. In the hospital it dropped to 20 beats and a pacemaker was installed. This man saved my life. Without his foresight I would not be here today to tell this story.

Dr. Wharton is excellent at what he does. He explained my condition and how ablation would help. I had an excellent experience with the procedure and already feeling better a week after and know I will feel even better after the scarring has formed 6 weeks after. Looking forward to getting off my Amiodarone medication too.

I was referred to Dr. Wharton by my family doctor. I was immediately put at ease by his knowledge of my condition. He was very thorough in his explanations of what to expect if I chose to have ablation surgery as well as other options. He completely explained how the heart works and what my heart was doing. I chose the ablation and felt at peace the moment I entered MUSC. He is an outstanding doctor and I can not say enough about his professionalism and ease of understanding.
