I saw Dr. Wells due to a referral from my primary eye care physician due to a reported inflamed optic nerve, Not only was Dr. Wells one of the rudest physicians I have encountered but he was totally unprifessional. I was shocked that all examining room doors were left open and other patients could hear your health issues and you could hear theirs. After several weeks of getting no where & Wells stating no inflammation I got a referral to Duke on my own & diagnosed with MS.

I have been acquainted with Dr. Wells for 20 years in his practice. He treats his patients the same as he would a family member. The waiting time for him shows that he spends the necessary time with all of his patients to give them the best and most thorough treatment. He will never hurry through a visit because he is behind. We have also lost count of the patients he hasn't charged because they were on hard times. He is also the most well trained and humble of physicians that I have ever met.
in York,SC |
Our experience with Dr. Wells has been trying at best. Frequently late, arrogant, and even my 94 year old mother today made mention of his lack of consideration towards his patients in his demeanor. It was almost like we were there for him in some way for billing purposes only. I would suggest that he re-dedicate himself to helping patients by at least making an effort to be interested. The support staff was good and almost seemed apologetic for him. This indicates problems with the practice.
