What a nightmare Six knee surgeries on one knee
After a knee fracture and repair I sought treatment at Houston Clinic as my repair was not healing well. Dr. Waldrop preformed three surgeries on my right knee and the fourth was finally a total replacement. That completely failed and I was told to just get on with my life. The fluid continued to return to my knee and the battle with pain consumed me. This physician became ill and was no longer allowed to do surgeries so another at the practice did a revision by placing a larger “plate” in my knee. After walking badly for four years, a foot surgery and hip surgery the entire ruin of 4 years of my life was because Dr. Waldrop failed to cement in my total knee and it fell causing all of my other issues. I lost 4 years of work, 4 years of my life. I did seek medical attention from a trained surgeon I had to have a total revision. I was medically abused my this Doctor and he’s back at surgeries. My life is ruined and he just gets to carry on hurting other patients.

Wonderful! Dr. Waldrop is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind. No doubt about it. He knows what he is doing and I have the utmost confidence in him. Would certainly recommend him to anyone who has hip, knee, or leg problems. He performed surgery on me and everything went so smoothly. Also, received an injection from him for other problems. Can't say enough good things concerning Dr. Waldrop.

Great experience
I saw Dr. Waldrop last year as a referral from another orthopedic doctor. He was very nice, answered my questions. Asked me questions as well. We began the process to move forward with surgery. He became ill so it was temporarily delayed. Once he was back in office, he recommended Dr. Stewart for the actual surgery, with him in attendance. He came in the day of surgery, reassuring my husband and myself that things would be fine. He answered the couple of questions that day we had. It was a good experience.

Dr. Waldrop has been my physician for several years. He has been kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and competent throughout this time. He takes the time to listen to my concerns, answering any questions I may have. He doesn’t rush me out, and he is thoughtful and direct with his recommendations for my treatment. He was my Surgeon for my Total Hip Replacement and Knee Arthroscopy. He and his team did an exceptional job with both procedures! His PA is great as well! I couldn’t be more pleased with their treatment and care! I would and do recommend him highly!

I had been told by a medical professional in a different practice that I needed a hip replacement. In all fairness, the diagnosis was made without x-rays and only on description of my symptoms. Dr. Waldron almost immediately upon seeing the x-rays, said that my hip joints were great and that my problem was from inflammation of my sacroiliac joints. He prescribed medication and therapy. I am doing great and as he said, “We kept you off the operating table.” Thank you Dr. Waldron!

I came to Dr Waldrop with pain and complications from a prior surgery. He had great insights. He knew exactly what to do and corrected my problem. I have had to have another joint replacement. I didn’t want anyone other than Dr Waldrop to be the Surgeon! Surgery was very successful with a quick recovery. I highly recommend Dr Waldrop!

Dr Waldrop is a great surgeon however waiting over an hour to just be taken back is not acceptable. With exception of my first visit, this happened on every follow up appointment. It is also ridiculous to call a few hours before your scheduled appointment time, to be told you need to come in earlier, and still have to wait an hour. No respect for patient time/schedule.

Had hip surgery and became septic. Complained about a puffy spot for a year and finally got results by basically be aggressive in speaking with the PA. Had I& D surgery to fix complaint. On the day stitches were to come out it was decided to keep them in due to a spot not looking like it was closing. Next day a hole open nowhere near where they originally thought would open. They decided to pack it which caused the hole to open more inside and out. Had another surgery to redo the stitches. Finally got those out and doing well. I think they purposely skip steps or do things to stop complaints just to keep lining their pockets. We live in our bodies not them. They rely on us to tell them any issues so they can determine treatment. And when you tell them they should listen the first time every time.

Dr Waldrop did a full hip replacement of my left hip of a joint that had gone totally arthritic due to previous injury to the hip and I am sure my weight did not help. After being turned down by other surgeons because of my weight, at our first meeting he was ready to perform the surgery one of two ways depending on what the x rays would show. He was no nonsense and I was release less than 48 hours after the surgery. It took serious rehab to get some strength back in the joint his team was professional before and after the surgery. He and his team are exceptional and finding someone who didnt refuse me due to my weight was a relief.
