After graduating medical school from Louisiana State University in 1992, Dr. Storment completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology from UT Health Science Center in Houston, TX, and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT. Dr. Storment is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Storment subsequently established his medical practice in Lafayette, LA, in 2002 after three years with Fertility Institute of New Orleans. Over the years, demand for his services in Louisiana led him to establish clinical offices in Alexandria and Lake Charles. In 2014, Dr. Storment expanded Fertility Answers into Baton Rouge. Today, Fertility Answers serves patients in over two-thirds of Louisiana in 40-plus parishes. John Storment, MD specializes in a full range of advanced fertility treatments including IVF, ICSI and egg freezing. Dr. Storment is affiliated with Women's & Children's Hospital in Lafayette and Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge where his Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) Centers are currently located. Each ART Center houses state-of-the-art medical equipment for the advanced infertility treatments of in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), blastocyst culture, assisted hatching and embryo cryopreservation. Dr. Storment is also affiliated with Lafayette Surgicare Surgical Center, located on the Women's & Children's Hospital campus. Dr. Storment is a past Clinical Associate Professor with Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he was on faculty from 1999-2015. He has published numerous articles on infertility, ultrasonography, and the physiology of hormone replacement during menopause. His current research projects involves evaluation and treatment of endometriosis and infertility. Dr. Storment remains active in resident education in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and volunteers at Lafayette Community Health Clinic each month providing gynecologic care for the "working uninsured". Dr. Storment also speaks Spanish. Dr. Storment is a member of ACOG (American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) , ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine), SRS (Society of Reproductive Surgeons), Louisiana State Medical Society, Lafayette Parish Medical Society, AAGL (American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists).
