He was kind , considerate and skilled. Could not have asked for better care.
Lees Summit, MO |
Awful. His ego, arrogance is huge. Diagnosis, breast cancer, 4 hours later was in his office. Crying, I was in shock. I refused the genetic testing which annoyed him. Day10 post-op I explained to him I had misunderstood "biopsy" of lymph nodes. I expected a large bee sting size incision like on my breast. I was shocked & felt butchered seeing the size of incision. No communication skill. Not open at all to suggestions. I offered up before & after pics to help others. Was told I need shrink

He is opinionated and not open to questions from the patient. His attitude is very 1950 style, as in I am the surgeon...you are only a subject to be cut upon. He never even followed up with a visit in the hospital, but sent his intern the next day to check. He fails on every account of bedside manner and concern for the patient. Not sure if he even did the surgery or one of his assistants did it. He never answered that question. I would avoid his my way or highway approach.

I agree with the comment already posted - If you express an opinion or say you prefer a certain procedure, he appears to be quite irritated. My outcome was not very good.

Possibly the great surgeon people claim he is,and maybe usually a nice person. For me, up until he refused to treat me after I'd voiced my opinion about him, I didn't care for all the misinformation about my breast cancer treatment I recieved. Everything is done by protocol, there is no individualized treatment. If you ask to have things your way, forget it. Despite my expecting surgery next week and now I don't have a surgeon, its almost comical that a dr would be so shallow. Freedom of speech?
