Care Philosophy

"I believe the most important thing is to take compassionate, appropriate care of my patients. I would rather have people understand that I would like to help people rather than that I trained well. Medicine is fun, because you can have relationships with people. It was great to serve as a military surgeon before entering my residency at Fitzsimons Hospital. One can still feel a little altruism about serving our country."

Dr. Reister is my personal superhero! I broke my legs a few months ago when I fell 30' on our farm. My injuries included dislocating my right foot so my bones stuck out and shattering my left fibula. I was flown to CO and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. Dr. Reister reconstructed both ankles. I was walking within 8 weeks! And if that crazy miracle isn't enough, 10 days ago he reconstructed my ACL (same accident) and I just walked up my stairs. He is nothing short of amazing!

Dr. Reister has performed a knee surgery on both of my knees over the last 10 years. He is a caring, compassionate, and wonderful doctor who brings a wonderful "bedside" manner and great sense of humor. His skills have resulted in successful operations for my knees! I highly recommend!

Repaired my ACL & a bucket handle meniscus tear. He was great to talk to, which is always nice, but most importantly he performed a fantastic surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Reister & the rest of his team at Orthopaedic Associates of Colorado. While I hope I'm never able to provide them with repeat business...they would definitely be my first choice again if I'm in the need. Thanks Dr. Reister!

Thank you for the feedback and positive comment on Dr. Reister.

Dr Reister was recommended by my Dr who performed bi-lateral knee replacement. My 26 year old son dislocated his non-dominant shoulder and Dr Reister performed the surgery. Very congenial, professional and knowledgeable. Knew what was wrong, knew how to fix it and did so in a very readable time frame. Wholly recommend him

I was referred to Dr. Reister by another physician. Evidently neither the staff nor the doctor read the information I submitted nor bothered to review the MRI sent to his office. Instead, the doctor gave me a double dose of cortisone steroid and THEN had his assistant tell me about the side effects: Blood sugar levels raised over 30%. Then he looked at me and asked, Are you diabetic?. My answer: YES. Would not recommend him to my worst enemy.
