I have had 3 replacements with this group. 3 of my former ortho's have retired. But I have now seen Dr. Reister and after an MRI, I realized my shoulder was much worse then a few years ago. I will be having a reverse shoulder replacement on May 7. I have heard many good reviews about his work.

Dr. Reister completed my original shoulder surgery in 2014. No issues with the shoulder. Recently, I reinjured my shoulder. After seeing another specialist, I wanted to get a second opinion so I called Dr. Reister. After years, he remembered me and the work he did. Dr. Reister is very knowledgeable and explains things in the way that you will understand. Dr. Reister is straight forward (to the point) and personal. His staff has always been professional, accommodating and responsive to calls.

Dr. Reister is kind, thoughtful, patient, and willing to take the time to answer questions and for me that is really important. I like to know what is going on with my body and why and he is willing to explain diagnoses and gives treatment options so I can decide what to do. He also keeps really good records so if I have a question about what was done at a previous visit all I have to do is ask and I will get the information. His staff is great - funny, and kind and they know their stuff.

Although Dr. Reister had assured me that orthopedic surgery was not necessary in my case, had the procedure been advised, I knew that I would have been in highly competent hands. The doctor took the time to carefully—and thoroughly—explain exactly what was going on with my injured upper bicep tendon. As it turned out, his prognosis was spot on...two months following the visit, my injury had healed beyond my expectations. And you could not ask for a more personable and affable human being.

Dr. Reister is the most truthful, open and caring doctor I have. I always get both the unadulterated facts, and the best possible suggestions for handling my knees. He does not beat around the bush, but also is fully supportive of my wishes and takes plenty of time to make sure I have all of my needs met, and my questions answered. The treatments have always worked as he said.

Dr Reister performed a rotator cuff repair on me in 2016, and while this is a pretty painful post-op procedure, my pain and mobility are pretty much a 100% back to normal now. He will be performing knee surgery on me in a few weeks and I feel totally at ease knowing he will be my surgeon. He’s very personable and has a great sense of humor as well! Bedside manner is very important to me along with knowledge and skill...

At 1st, this seemed like a good choice for a needed knee surgery. Had a consult with Dr Reister. And thought he was a good knowledgeable Dr. after explaining. More than once what had happened and my reason for going to him. His assistant who is also a Dr. (Mike) misinterpreted what I was saying. And totally wrote his report to screw me. After I had explained this. He agreed to add an addendum. He did. But he still didn't make it clear & didnt understand. he refused to rewrite it correctly!

Very personable. Takes a reasonable amount of time with the patient. He does explain things kind of fast, so slow him down and ask questions. He will answer those for you.

I had a total shoulder replacement on Jan. 10th and was swinging a golf club on April 10th...3months later! I had anticipated a long recovery process. This was about 1/3 of what I anticipated. Dr Reister and staff did an outstanding job before, during, and after surgery. I followed his instructions after surgery and committed to physical therapy. I wish l had done this procedure 5 yrs earlier. I am now pain free and have more mobility than I've had in yrs.
