Dr. Ready was calm, sweet, professional and highly respected by every other Dr and nurse I spoke with. He answered all my questions and explained things thoroughly. I healed quickly and without any problems so he did a great job with my anterior hip replacement. My recovery pain was minimal and I was walking without much discomfort in 3 weeks. Lots of attention paid to avoid infection and I am high risk for that. The medical team at Faulkner was wonderful too.

I had a right hip replacement with Dr John Ready at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on Tuesday 04/14/15 and my severe pain bone on bone with osteoarthritis was the cause of my pain from June of 2014 through April of 2015. Once he put in my new right hip. Most of pain was gone while I was still in Brigham and Women’s and Prescott Rehabilitation Nursing Home from Friday 04/17/15-Tuesday 04/28/15 and they sent me home with very little pain. One month after my right hip surgery replacement. I was finally pain free and I was able to enjoy the rest of the Spring and the entire summer. One month later in May of 2015 when I went for my one month follow up visit. Dr. John Ready and his staff were surprised I healed a lot faster than they expected. highly recommend Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Boston has the best Hospital’s in the world.

Dr. Ready is one of the best all around physicians in orthopedics! I work in medical field, and can say he has an amazing bedside manner and is highly skilled surgically. For ortho oncology, have seen many of the top md's on east coast over 30 yrs and he is best!! Yes, there is often a wait time at appts, but I never have felt rushed. Yes, wish I didn't ever have to wait in office but for me, id rather wait to see a top notch md then be seen immediately by a mediocre one!!

I brought my son to Dr Ready with a bone lesion in his arm. Dr Ready was so kind, caring and spent time explaining the next steps. I immediately felt that Dr Ready knew what to do and everything would be ok. I trust Dr Ready, a wonderful doctor. I wouldn't go to anyone else. You will wait to see him but I didn't care. Dr Ready is worth the wait when it is your or your family's health.

Had 8 weeks of therapy and an arthroscopy in November by other Doctor (no longer with BWH). Dr. Ready went over all the work that had been done previously and explained in a way that I easily understood. Recommended cortisone shot which was already my chose to try (golfers do not do knees in the summertime). I am two weeks out and the knee is much better. Looking like I will get in another summer of golf. Dr. Ready was very personable and responded to all my.

Dr. Ready kept me and my 85-year old mother waiting for 2.5 hours with not so much as an apology. Her time is just as valuable as his. When I called the next day to complain about this rudeness the office manager claimed she would call me back and after two more messages never did. My mother has been going to B&W for 20 years and never has she been so appalled at the total lack of decency shown by this doctor. She as well as all other patients deserve respect esp when they are so vulnerable

I am one day post anterior hip replacement and would highly recommend Dr. Ready and his PA Susie Santos. His background and sheer number of replacements are admirable but, his spot on knowledge and individualized planning reassured me. He was extremely positive pre and post op and I am extremely pleased with how I feel already!
