I had the very unpleasant experience with this arrogant man who has a God complex that overwhelmes him! Had a heart attack after mostly healing had some poping and clicking going on in my sternum so he did a chest revision and stacked up a bunch of hardware in my chest.Went back to him because the poping and clicking didn’t stop. He put one hand on my chest and one on my back and said there’s no poping and clicking going on in here and referred me to have Pectus flap surgery. Wife being a great nurse said second opinion ended up removing the infected hardware that had snapped my sternum off and was diagnosed with osteomyelitis a four more surgeries and no telling how many more. Being that he hides behind UF Health and the sovereign immunity (look up the words) even if I die from this I can’t do anything to him or the hospital for they all have sovereign immunity so be careful about going to UF Health or seeing Dr John P Pirris the chief thoracic surgeon that teaches our next surgeons??

I recently learned that I had a small nodule in my right upper lung lobe. Naturally, I was frantically trying to get all info I could about which Dr/Hospital to use. A family friend who is a Medical Dr sent word to me to do whatever I could to get in with Dr. John Pirris at UF Jacksonville hospital. I was able to get Dr. Pirris to take my case. I am so glad we chose this hospital and Dr Pirris. Everyone was very professional and gave me top notch care. Thank you so much, Dr Pirris!
