Dr. Peters is employed by Pediatric Specialists of America (PSA), the physician-led group practice of Miami Children's Health System. He is a pediatric gastroenterologist within the Division of Gastroenterology and the PSA Northern Regional Chief, Section of Gastroenterology, for Nicklaus Children's Hospital. Dr. Peters earned his doctorate of osteopathy from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. He completed both his pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. His clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease in children and short bowel syndrome.
Dr. Peters is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Dr. Peters has authored chapters of medical textbooks and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Peters sees patients at the Nicklaus Children's Palm Beach Gardens Outpatient Center and is on staff at both the Nicklaus Children's Hospital main campus and the De George Pediatric Unit at Jupiter Medical Center.
