Physiatrists are specialists in musculoskeletal and neurologic disease with an emphasis on functional restoration. At University Rehabilitation, we provide non-operative care for individuals with back/neck pain, joint injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, spinal cord injuries and other disabling conditions. Dr. Parziale is a senior faculty member at Brown University and serves on national (USGA, PGA TOUR, Assoc. of Academic Physiatrists, etc) and local (RI Workers Compensation Court) organizations.
A graduate of the Choate School, Brown University and the Univ. of Connecticut School of Medicine. Completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Tufts Medical School in Boston and was the Chief Resident Physician in 1985-6. Physiatrist-in-Chief at Rhode Island Hospital from 1986-1993, and at University Rehabilitation from 1993 to present. Member of the Brown Univ. faculty since 1986, currently an Associate Professor (clinical) in the Dept. of Orthopedics. Member of American Academy of PM&R, Assoc. of Academic Physiatrists, AANEM, PGA Tour advisory, Medical Advisory Board to RI Workers Compensation Court, and other professional societies.
