I have seen Dr. O'Malley twice now and I am very impressed by his knowledge and compassion. He has an excellent bedside manner and thoroughly explained my treatment options. I am completely confident he will fix my knee problem! His nurse is also very caring and took the time to answer my additional questions. I would definitely recommend Dr. O'Malley and his staff!

I was referred by Dr. Scully (great doctor) to Dr. O’Malley. I saw him for the 1st time yesterday and was most impressed! And, even though they were very busy, he never made me feel that he was too busy to listen to me. He identified my problem, answered my questions and explained my 3 options very carefully. I have already referred him to 4 friends for any of their future orthopedic needs. His nurse was delightful and apologized for the delay—all understandable for these unique times that we are experiencing. I feel fortunate indeed to have been able to see Dr. O’Malley!

Doctor O'Malley has previously operated on my knee, shoulder and now my elbow. All are better than new. His most previous surgery on my elbow resulted in ZERO post-op pain. I cannot say enough good about Dr. O'Malley, his bedside manners and his incredible skills as a surgeon. And of course Joe Ellender, PA and the rest of the staff at EmergeOrtho that kept things running smoothly. I highly recommend Dr. O'Malley and his staff if you are facing these types of surgeries.

I have been very impressed with Dr O'Malley & his PA Dr Joseph Ellander & team since our first "visit" this past May when I fell and fractured the upper part of my right humerous. It was evident to me and my daughter who accompanied me, that we were interacting with a highly intelligent, accomplished, experienced, skilled and compassionate physician. I knew I was in good hands! Thank you again Dr O"Malley.

In March, 2019, I had rotator cuff surgery after doing physical therapy for a month, trying to avoid surgery. Dr. O’Malley was recommended by a physical therapist who had worked with him in the past. I was pleased with the outcome of what even Dr. O’Malley says is a difficult surgery. He answered my questions pre op and told me my choices. He even called me the first day post op. I am completing my 16 weeks of expected PT next week and expect full range of motion and strength within the year, just as Dr. O’Malley said would happen if I did as instructed. Yes, wait time to see him is sometimes longer than ideal but it has been worth it. Judy B. Smith, Wilmington, NC

I did not enjoy my experience with Dr. O'Malley. I did not like his attitude as soon as he walked into the room. He seemed as if he didn't want to be there. He leaned back on the stool very casually/arrogantly as I explained what had been going on with my knee. I felt he was fine with the diagnosis and prescribing me some pain medication, but I didn't even understand that he wanted me to go to physical therapy until the nurse brought in the paperwork. Not good at communication.
