In March, 2019, I had rotator cuff surgery after doing physical therapy for a month, trying to avoid surgery. Dr. O’Malley was recommended by a physical therapist who had worked with him in the past. I was pleased with the outcome of what even Dr. O’Malley says is a difficult surgery. He answered my questions pre op and told me my choices. He even called me the first day post op. I am completing my 16 weeks of expected PT next week and expect full range of motion and strength within the year, just as Dr. O’Malley said would happen if I did as instructed. Yes, wait time to see him is sometimes longer than ideal but it has been worth it. Judy B. Smith, Wilmington, NC

Always at least one hour late… Sometimes longer. I do not have two hours to wait for a doctor

I did not enjoy my experience with Dr. O'Malley. I did not like his attitude as soon as he walked into the room. He seemed as if he didn't want to be there. He leaned back on the stool very casually/arrogantly as I explained what had been going on with my knee. I felt he was fine with the diagnosis and prescribing me some pain medication, but I didn't even understand that he wanted me to go to physical therapy until the nurse brought in the paperwork. Not good at communication.
