Dr. John McDonald received his M.D. Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Dr. McDonald is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, is a Member of the American Academy of MOHS Surgeons and carries the distinct honor as a member of the prestigious international Royal Academy of Physicians. He was the President of the Indian River County Medical Society and Chairman of the Indian River Medical Center Department of Dermatology. Dr. McDonald is an adjunct Professor of Dermatology at Florida State University and is a frequent contributing writer on new methods for the treatment of skin cancer in several journals and publications. Dr. McDonald enjoys a stellar and scholarly reputation among his fellow physicians and his patients throughout Indian River County and beyond.
