Dr. Lewis was conservative in my initial treatment. However, once surgery was inevitable, he gave me thorough and realistic expectations regarding my treatment and recovery. Considering the condition I was in, I couldn't be more pleased with my progress.

I am a recipient of a ankle device that has plagued me since it’s installation, from a different provider. I have had two office visits with Dr. Lewis that went smoothly. X-ray and a CT Scan reveal loose hardware, labs reveal no infection. Quickly, Dr. Lewis recommends surgery to correct my problem. Further, he recommends a different implant. After researching the InBone ankle device, I think I am eager for surgery. I have been in pain long enough. I hope to have good results in October. I am a Registered Nurse, the doctor listened to my concerns and my hopes in the near future to have a healthier me. Decreased range of motion and pain hinder my life. Currently, I a m very optimistic with Dr. Lewis and his credentials. He and his staff seem very genuine and professional. My gut feeling, have surgery and have a better life.

Dr Lewis is an outstanding foot & ankle specialist. His diagnosis for my problem was right on and he actually recommended & verified a different initial approach (talus fusion) than the other Orthopaedic specialists I saw. My surgery went well, and recuperation & PT (via Louisville Orthopaedic Clinic) was a long process. The follow up visits with Dr Lewis have been timely, thorough & professional. Today, I’m back to playing tennis (singles & doubles). I’m a big fan of Dr. Lewis, and highly recommend him for feet or ankle problems (mine was severe arthritis pain). Dr. Lewis will definitely be my surgeon if & when I need ankle replacement. Jack Cruse
