He began practicing orthopedic surgery in 1995 after completing his medical training at the Chicago Medical School and his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit. Following residency, he completed an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Rush Orthopaedic Institute under the direction of Wayne G. Paprosky, M.D., where he advanced his skills in hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee surgery, and the management of bone loss. He then performed a Biologic Hip Reconstruction Fellowship at Wayne State University under the tutelage of Jeffrey Mast, M.D. and Keith Mayo, M.D. where he refined his skills in the art of osteotomy and internal fixation. Following his education, he joined the faculty at Wayne State University as an Assistant Professor and was named Teacher of the Year in 2000. Dr. Kronick's special training and experience make him one of the best joint replacement surgeons in California. He is one of the few surgeons skilled in the reconstruction of failed hip and knee replacements with major bone loss. He manages the more difficult reconstructive problems in the area. He is willing and able to take care of difficult hip and knee reconstructive problems that other surgeons won't tackle. Dr. Kronick has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has been asked to present his published work at many nationally referred conferences. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family, such as going to swim meets with his two daughters. He also enjoys cycling, hunting, and the outdoors."

Patient Comments (2)

Dr. Kronick has a very abrasive and hostile bedside manner. I waited 2 hours to see him this morning. He did not care. He was rude and spent 9 minutes with me. Worst experience I have ever had.
