This content was provided by Dr. Josephson "Prior to coming to Northern Virginia years ago Dr. Josephson completed an Advanced Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Fellowship at University of California San Diego with a unique additional four month high volume LASER Fellowship at the Gordon Weiss & Schanzlin Laser Vision Center. Prior to this additional exclusive fellowship, he completed his Internship and Ophthalmology Residency at the prestigious Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Academic Center, Washington DC. His medical training was completed at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick NJ with a Distinction in Research. During his medical training he completed a Clinical Research Training Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and published numerous papers and presented his work at a number of conferences. He completed his undergraduate degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Rutgers University with High Honors and was one of the few Henry Rutgers Research Scholars.He carries with him a zeal for teaching and is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology with Georgetown University Residency program where he devotes time quarterly to train beginner surgeons the subtleties needed to master surgical technique. He also has a passion for serving the indigent population including medical mission trips. His extra-curricular interests include basketball, tennis, and spending time with his lovely wife Nancy, two beautiful daughters, as well as his church community. "

I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Dr. Josephson explained all of my options, possible outcomes, and was very committed to making sure I was pleased with the results. No glasses for the first time in 60 years!

Went in to have a cyst on my eyelid looked at. Although not scheduled, he squeezed me in and removed it within the hour. Saved me another trip!

I found Dr. Josepheson very easy to work with. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. My surgey went very smoothly and I am looking forward to having my other eye corrected. I am very pleased with Dr. Josephson and his staff they were very helpful and accommodating.
