I came to the area to start the nuclear cardiology program and also to do interventional work and general and preventive cardiology. My mom was a research physician and my dad was a cardiologist. So the dinner conversations were pretty much medically related. I think my first interest in medicine came through that going to the lab with my mom and on rounds with my dad. I said wow this is something I could do and would really like to do. I like to talk to people and listen to their story see how they are doing see if the things we have talked about are working for them or whether there are other ways we can get them better. I like seeing them do better over time seeing improvements in their cholesterol blood pressure exercise things like that.
