Dr. Hathaway performed a classic "bait and switch" on me. I've had rsd for years. Dozens of doctors, 6 surgeries and dozens of "procedures" on my knee. Called his office with specific questions about ketamine and made an appt. I'm disabled. Access to his office is a joke if you have to walk in pain even after (I asked) being told to park in the garage, " it's easy". No it isn't! Two blocks worth of walking, all inside the building. Waited too long after appt time. After a long questioner and disrobing, the first thing Hathaway said to me was, " I don't do ketamine". "Then why am I here?" I asked. He tried to sell me "the two" implants he likes to do. Drug and electronic. Completely inappropriate for someone who's rsd has been systemic for years. He had my entire history. These are simple procedures, with few problems, easy to perform and pay very well from the insurance companies. He knew my situation and did it anyway. "First, do no harm Dr!". He harmed me!!

I would never recommend him . Extremely non caring , no compassion whatsoever . I had to be taken from his practice in an ambulance after a nerve block . I had unbearable excruciating pain on Monday and he nor any of his staff has bothered to contact me . To me that is total callous disregard . I was told before I left on the gurney that this had never happened in their office . Don’t you think that warrants a call ….are you ok, how is your pain level ?? Something , but absolutely nothing . I have never been treated like this . If he can not show a tiny bit of compassion and consideration for a person that came to him fir help ….shame on him , might be time to get out of his profession !

I'm really glad others were/are satisfied with Dr Hathaway. My experience was questionable to say the least. I could go on but the bottom line seems to be - if one is not a candidate for the Vertiflex, he really doesn't want to see you nor talk about pain management options. Pretty much in line with what other specialists have commented about. Dr Hathaway is a proceduralist, period. Again, I really hope others find better results, at least in conversation with this gentleman.

It was just over a year ago that I had a spinal stimulator implant for my back pain. Before that I'd tried pretty much everything, including chiropractors, physical therapy, opiods, injections etc. I could barely stand for more than a few minutes without a cane. Now I can walk for over a mile, work in the yard again, and in general I have my life back! Thank you Dr. Hatheway and your team.

Dr Hatheway has saved my life by changing my pain care. All the other doctors that I have seen in the past never explained what the higher dosage medication was doing to my body. I would recommend Dr. Hatheway to any one that in needs pain medication, his staff is incredible and will take care of your pain. Terry

I have been a patient of Dr Hatheway approximately 10 years. He has helped me in multiple ways with my back and neck. He always explains in easy to understand language the issue and any procedures he may recommend. I was so thankful to have been referred to him in the beginning, and I’m leading a healthier and reduced pain lifestyle due to his care. His staff in the office and nurses are always friendly and positive.

I had a Khyphoplasty procedure for 2 compression fractures in my back. My pain was greatly reduced almost immediately and now 3 weeks later is completely gone. Amazing! The office personnel as well as the nurses & Doc were all courteous and efficient. From my first phone call the entire experience was excellent. No complaints.

Many years ago I was in a power chair unable to walk, on prescribed opoids, in chronic pain and nowhere to go. I was referred to Dr. Hatheway and now we have adopted our grandchild and I am able to mostly keep up with her. He is a life changer and would recommend looking at all of your options and most of all, FOLLOW HIS PROGRAM. Do what you are asked to do, even if it seems impossible, and your life will be one worth living again. Thank you for giving me my LIFE back to me and my family!

I wanted to see D. Hatheway for pain management for DDD. Instead I was given an appointment with his PA. Lauren Woodward. Ms. Woodward's attitude was abysmal, but the kicker was when I called to get the results from my MRI, I was told i had to be in PT before, yes before, they would set me up with an appointment to go over the test results. Funny thing, I went there because I felt I wasn't given the attention I needed from 1st doc. All in all, if you want good patient care, go someplace else.

This doctor and his staff are exceptional. They are very personable and make you feel real assured about every procedure they are doing. I have been struggling with back pain for almost 20 years and when all other doctors kept telling me there was nothing that could be done, he had all sorts of things to try. I have finally found relief! Give him a try, he is awesome!

Dr. Hatheway is concerned with gaining as much information about the patient and their lifestyle as possible. Dr. Hatheway and his staff do an excellent job. I've been treated at their practice for several years. They are thorough and conscientious. I know that only cranky people bother complaining online about doctors, but I know many people who have been very happy with this office and keep coming back, and I recommend NWPC often. Sometimes the wait can be a few minutes longer than expected, but I know that he and his other providers do their best to help everyone and be thorough. Worth waiting for.

I have been struggling in the Spokane area to get some procedures done that I have had done before, and it has been ridiculously hard for me to get someone to do them. I have been told there is no question that I need them. I went to a great deal of trouble to get records sent there, but I was refused the treatment i need, or even an appointment, with no explanation, I do not understand treating people that way. It seems that is what to expect in Spokane if you are a pain patient.

Dr. Hatheway and his staff are exceptional. The front office staff are professional and make me feel like I am the only patient. They are so good about taking calls timely and returning calls quickly. The clinical staff, particularly Crystal, is very dedicated and regularly calls to check in on my pain status. Something as simple as calling on a Friday before a long weekend to make sure I am OK speaks volumes about her level of care and concern. Dr. Hatheway is excellent in pain mgmt.
