It's always pleasure to see Dr. Gayton. He is courteous, pleasant, efficient and thorough! His staff is also very pleasant. You never wait long in the waiting room or to see him in the exam room. An overall nice experience with Ortho SC!

Hand surgery
Dr. Gaston explained the three procedures in a way that I could easily understand. He was very patient and answered all my questions. He was very honest about what would happen after surgery as well , so I was prepared and not concerned about the aches or pains I was feeling.OT for 3 months.

I don't know where the problem lies in my surgery/appts. He did sev. things to my right hand @ one time. I went back to have stitches removed as told. I had asked for an X-ray to see why I was in so much pain but was not given one. I called weeks later and asked again if I could go in and have an X-ray to see what the problem was that my hand still burns and that my middle finger is frozen in a crooked-stiff position. I have done the therapy as instructed by a therapist. Every morning I put my hand in heat and exercise it. Today I called and I was told I would have to go in for an eval. to get a prescription, I don't want a pain killer, just something to heal nerves, asked again about the X-ray so I wd know what is wrong on the inside of my hand. My middle finger & palm of my hand have really given me a hard time all these wks. I can't see riding a 2 hr. round trip again in the hopes of seeing what is going on inside my hand. There is also pain up my wrist- on up toward my pinkie.

Dr.Gayton explained the procedure he would use to fix my broken wrist. He called me at home that evening after I had the surgery to make sure I was doing ok. At the followup visit, my progress was delayed so he referred me to physical therapy. Because of a family situation that merited me being at home, he made arrangements for Kindred Home health to visit me twice a week to provide occupational therapy to get my wrist moving again. OK. I would recommend Dr. Gayton if you needed your wrist repaired.

I was visiting from IL fell & broke my elbow. I knew no doctors or hospitals. They ER sent me to Dr. Gaston and I told him upfront that this makes me leary. He reassured me he would do a great job & he did! Surgeon at home said he did exactly what he would have done. He could see from x-rays I took home. Thank you Dr. Gayton

He’s a wonderful surgeon! It meant a lot to me that he asked if he could pray with me before my surgery and that he called me himself that evening to check on me. As a nurse who has worked with many surgeons over the years, he’s definitely one of the best!
