Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Gachiani "I am a fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeon and I work with both adult and pediatric patients.  As the only fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeon in Central Iowa I am able to offer pediatrics patients (and their families) clinical expertise close to home.  I completed my medical school training at Dartmouth, residency at LSU, and my pediatric fellowship at UT-Dallas.  I am completing many of my elective spine surgeries minimally invasive which provides many benefits to patients where surgery is recommended and needed.  Please feel free to contact our office at any time with additional questions."

Dr. Gachiani performed a two-level cervical disc replacement in my neck a year ago, and I have not had any issues since the moment I woke up from surgery. Dr. Gachiani performed emergency surgery on my daughter last year after she broke her back. Before surgery, she was unable to move her legs. Since surgery, she's regained use of both her legs and is walking again. Not only was Dr. Gachiani a great surgeon, he was very compassionate.

One meeting with this doctor was enough for us to know that we could not trust this doctor with our child's life. Our child remembers him as "the doctor, who almost crushed my hand." Her hand hurt for a week after G's handshake. Mine did too. This doctor had next to none experience and acted very...Read More

I had Lbp for a long time. Dr. Gachiani took time to explain the condition / procedure. He did laminectomy in 2 hours and no complications afterwards. He is very understanding, caring and above all he knows his stuff well.
