I was very satisfied with Dr. Drake, the administrative staff, the nurses and the Bienville Clinic. Mrs. Betty was able to get me an appointment with Dr. Drake when others could not fit me in. I am very appreciative for it. I think the entire Bienville staff understands that patients come to them because we are in pain. Thank You.
Biloxi, MS |
Dr. Drake is great. He was professional and kind. He worked my son in right away. Great experience. Would recommend.
in Ocean Springs, MS |
I Have been a patient of Dr. Drake since March 2013 when I had the first complete knee replacement. I had no problems with the surgery and recovery. He was available to listen to me and answer any questions I had concerning my knee. In March 2014 I had the second knee replacement with the same results. I kept all my follow-up appointments and just had my three year follow-up. Everything is great and I am enjoying great knee health. I would highly recommend Dr. Drake for any orthopedic care
in Long Beach, MS |
Dr. Drake spent time with me to explain x-ray and MRI results. Listened to my comments with interest and answered my questions with patience and knowledge
in Pascagoula, M |
Dr Drake performed 2 knee replacement surgeries on me. The surgeries were 6 months apart, and by following the doctor's & physical therapist's instructions my recovery was quick. As a result my life has changed for the better--I'm walking, shopping, taking the dogs on walks, and traveling. Dr. Drake and his staff are the best!
in Pascagoula, MS |
I had a total left hip done and I was up and moving around the same day with little pain. Thanks Dr. John Drake, MD for doing my surgery!!!
Dr. Drake is an excellent doctor and straight forward. He will give you the best service. You do have to do exactly what is asked of you. He explains whatever treatment is best for you, his procedure, recovery and what is expected of you once you are home. It's important that you follow his advice.
in Gautier, MS |
I liked Dr. Drake, he explained my condition very clearly. Long wait time however.
in Biloxi, MS |
I set this Appt. for my Husband who was attended by my mother. They were both highly impressed with all aspects of the visit.
Ocean Springs, MS |
Dr. Drake is a very competent and compassionate physician. He was very helpful to me in dealing with a recent knee issue and has helped me in the past with more serious injuries. He is professional and caring and takes time to do a very thorough exam as well as explain the diagnosis and treatment and answer all of my questions. I feel very comfortable and happy with his care.
in Ocean springs MS |
Dr Drake is specific about how he wants his patients to prepare themselves for their procedure. That is what I did. I knew I was getting his "best" and consequently it was s great combination. I have had a great recovery and I just could not be happier with the results . I would most definitely chose Dr drake as my surgeon for any future procedures.
Pascagoula, MS |
Dr. Drake cares about his patients and I trust his decisions. Very smart.
in Ocean Springs, MS |
Excellent doctor. The best in his field of practice.
Ocean Springs, MS |
Dr. Drake is a clearlyhighly skilled surgeon who is also personable and approachable. His surgical protocols are impressive and effective. He is honest about the intensity of pre and post op preparation. Despite his busy clinic, once I'm in the exam room with him, he takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The only opportunities for improvement I can see is wait time in the clinic and the attitude of his PA
in Ocean Springsi, MS |
As a person fairly new to the area, I actively researched MS Gulf Coast and South AL doctors prior to seeking an appointment Dr. Drake. Dr. Drake was highly recommended and justifiably so. Scheduling an apt. with Dr. Drake was not difficult. I had previously had arthroscopic knee surgery in Louisiana, and I found Dr. Drake extremely thorough in his examination took ample of time to explain the condition, treatment options and he offered related conditioning recommendations. Highly recommend

Most professional and personal Surgeon I have ever had surgery with. I would strongly recommend Dr. Drake to anyone who needed surgery. Thank You to Dr. Drake and his highly professional staff.
in Gautier, MS |

One of the best in the country
in Biloxi, MS |
Dr. Drake is an excellent and caring doctor. I have the highest regard for his diagnosis and trust his judgement. I am 6 weeks post op and have had no problems.
in Gautier, MS |
Dr. Drake is very good at what he does and is meticulous about his patient's care. I had a total hip replacement and five days after the surgery I am mobile, healing with no complications, and essentially pain free.
in Ocean Springs, MS |
Pre-op patient at this point in time. He's very thorough and answered all of my questions. He have me options for treatment which I have chosen the one he recommended. I have every confidence in Dr. Drake's knowledge and skills as a physician and surgeon.
in Ocean Springs, MS |
I have had 3 follow up appointments with Dr. Drake and have not seen him yet. The first I saw his PA. That was a waste of time. The second I waited 1 1/2 hours and finally walked out. No one came in the room to tell me anything. The 3rd appointment was today. They wanted to charge me a copay and I refused due to reasons just mentioned. They didn't care. They let me walk out without attempting to work it out. This is all for issues I am still having from a total hip replacement.
Ocean Springs, MS |
Dr. Drake performed hip surgery on my father who was a very active and happy man. He had an implantable defibrillator that needed to be protected during the surgery. Dr. Drake did not follow proper procedures during the surgery and my father's heart was unnecessarily shocked 12 times. Dr. Drake never told us that it happened. He just said everything went well. After this time my father's blood pressure dropped very low and his heart rate had changed. 3 months later he died of heart failure.
