Dr. Douglas is a board certified addiction psychiatrist and Clinical Director of the Outpatient Addiction Program at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. The Outpatient Addiction Program is a six week intensive outpatient program developed by Dr. Douglas to help people struggling with addiction to any substance break the cycle of relapse and maintain their sobriety. Silver Hill is a nationally recognized non-profit hospital which focuses on treating both adults and adolescents struggling with addictive and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Douglas completed his Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at New York University School of Medicine where he worked at both Bellevue Hospital and the Manhattan VA Medical Center. He completed his General Psychiatry Residency at Emory University where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to completing his training in psychiatry, Dr. Douglas graduated medical school from Georgetown University.

In my private practice I work with patients to find the approach that works best for them to treat addiction, mental health problems, or both. I offer psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. In addition, I also conservatively prescribe psychiatric medications for both mental health and addictive disorders.
