I was very pleased with Dr. Dorris and his staff. I have had knee problems for years and was at the end of my rope. Dr. Dorris didn't hesitate on giving me a knee replacement and was sympathetic to my situation. The surgery went off without a hitch and I'm well on my way to a new life

This Dr. Is rude and not to be trusted. He operated on my shoulder. The diagnosis was it was dislocated, fractures and the rotator cuff was torn. He operated on me twice. Both times he charged insurance and me for a rotator cuff tear repair About 2 yr ago I was having severe pain in my shoulder again. I went to a different orthopedic Doctor that specializes in sboulders and the mri shows the original 2 yr old tear Dr. Dorris supposedly repaired! Now I will go through a shoulder replacement.

Dr Dorris has repaired several injuries on me. He is very professional and an excellent surgeon. Dr Dorris explains what is needed for your best recovery. He is honest and has very good bedside manors. I would recommend Dr Dorris to anyone in need of orthopedic repair or rehabilitation. Dr Dorris has a courteous staff and they are very helpful and professional. Thanks to Dr Dorris and his awesome staff.

I thank god everyday that dr.dorris repaired my broken rib/fib and pillion fracture. I was able to heal in half the time it takes most people to. He installed 2 plates, 1 on the outside of my leg,1 on the front, and torn ligaments/tendons It was terrible Atv accident and Athens Ortho wanted to do a fusion and I said I'm a get another option. So went dr.dorris and he wasted no time and the staff were all great noligable people. I can't be more happy. Bless you dr.dorris and staff!

Very personable and professional. Gives good information easy to follow.
in Comer, Ga |
I have had total knee replacement in both legs, and other problems with my bones. I've received excellent care from Dr. Dorris and his staff. Everyone treats me like family. My husband sees Dr. Ryan - who is with Athens Bone and Joint - and has had excellent care. I would recommend family and friends to Dr Dorris or anyone at Athens Bone and Joint. I feel like your health care provider helps a patient get well and encourages them at all times. I appreciate my relationship with Dr. Dorris

He did an excellent job with my knee and hip replacement!!
in Athens, GA |
In 2012 Dr Dorris replaced my right knee, which had been injured 30 years previously and had undergone two prior surgeries. I feel that he gave me plenty of time and information to make my decision to have it replaced. I'm not sure I was prepared for the amount of rehab that must be invested in such a surgery, but now my knee is much more functional than before.
in Canon, GA |
He was very nice and informative. He has a really nice staff.
in Greensboro, GA |

in Athens, GA |
Dr. Dorris performed a total replacement of my left knee last Summer. Things went fantastic. I had three rough weeks but since then every week has been an improvement. It is much better than before the surgery. He and his staff are great to work with. I have always seen the person I expected within 30 minutes of my appointment time (unlike other orthopedic clinics in Athens). Responses to calls have been rapid and I could not be more pleased with the care I received!

My visits with Athens Bone & Joint are always pleasant! Dr. Dorris and his staff are friendly and professional and provide outstanding care to me and my family. This practice is like orthopedic care before the Physician Assistants began to provide all the office care. You actually see the doctors here; what an amazing concept!
in Statham, GA |
I had total knee replacement of the right knee on 3/4 with no complications and minimal pain. Recovery was quick, back to work after 6 weeks. I would highly recommend Dr. Dorris.
in Madison, GA |
Dr. Dorris is very knowledgeable, competent, and straightforward. He is also very personable and has a good bedside manor. He and his staff all provided excellent care and were very attentive during each interaction with them. He truly made a difference in my life! He never left me with any unanswered questions, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. While I know he is busy it did seem he was often in a hurry, but I suppose that is due to his workload.
