I had spinal surgery by Dr. Coats in may 2016 and I have never had a better medical or surgical experience with a physician. Dr. John Coats is an amazing surgeon. I am totally pain free and have been since my surgery. I will highly recommend him to friends and family.

I had surgery June 29,2016. I had a microdiscectomy and laminectomy performed by Dr. Coats. He did an amazing job. I am now pain free. His bedside manners were fantastic- he came to check on me everyday I was in the hospital. He is very professional and more importantly very knowledgeable. I have the highest regard for Dr. Coats and his staff. I had to wait over 2 months for my appointment and didn't think I could make it that long, but now on this side of it, it was well worth the wait.

Prior to my surgery I was living in misery for years. I walked with a limp from severe back pain. By 4Pm every day the pain got so bad that I could not drive home from work without pain medicine. I had to keep off my feet for the rest of the day. At age 47, I had a spinal fusion at L3-L4, L4-L5. It has been 5 years since my surgery and I have ZERO pain. Since then I have been on 10+ mile hikes with heavy overnight packs. Dr Coats gave me my life back and I would highly recommend him.

I have nothing but the highest regard for Dr. Coats. Not only is he an excellent neurosurgeon but he also communicated well and in a very caring manner about a surgery that was frightening for me to consider. In my case, the surgery was extremely successful leaving me with excellent results and very good movement, eliminating also the constant headaches I had been living with for almost a year. I am very thankful for Dr. Coats? skill and compassion.

My mother met Dr. Coats as the on call neurosurgeon less than 24 hours of operating on her.. He was very kind and respectful towards her. He spent time discussing the need for her urgent surgery. As her family, we put our faith and trust in him to be the best surgeon for her and he did not disappoint. He was what she needed and we feel he is a superior neurosurgeon and we couldn't have made a better choice. Our whole family was rewarded with a very Merry Christmas. THANK YOU, Dr. Coats
