Dr. Clayton is a native of Utah and a third generation plastic surgeon. His grandfather, also named John L. Clayton, started Clayton Plastic Surgery and was later joined by his two sons, Dr. John N. Clayton and Dr. David N. Clayton, who now practice at Alta View Plastic Surgery Specialists.
Dr. Clayton earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology before attending medical school. He has 21 peer-reviewed publications and has given over 50 presentations. Dr. Clayton currently serves on the editorial board of the Annals of Plastic Surgery.
He and his wife Heidi are the parents of three children, and are happy to call Utah home.
My practice covers the entire spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery including hand surgery, the treatment for skin cancers and pediatric conditions. I have extensive training in breast reconstruction, enabling comprehensive surgical care for women interested in either immediate or delayed reconstruction.
I also enjoy performing cosmetic surgery including Liposuction, Breast Augmentation, Reduction and Lifting, Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), Body Contouring after massive weight loss, Facelift, Eyelid and Brow lift, Nasal surgery (Rhinoplasty), Cosmetic and Reconstructive Ear surgery, Laser treatments (all kinds), Botox, Dysport, and fillers (Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, and Belotero), Obagi and other skin care programs.
