Dr. Christoforetti is hands down the best surgeon. I just had my second hip done for torn labrum, he did my right last year and just had left one done last week. I feel so much better, he has given me quality of life back. He and his entire staff are wonderful. I truly believe that he cares about his patients and doing everything to make them better. I highly recommend him for anyone who is in need of Orthopedic care.
Thank you for the kind review!
Go to him if you'd love condescending tone and no eye contact in a doctor. Brought 2 students into the room but didnt introduce them to you...I hope they were students and not random people!
All patients seen in my office sign consent to participate in the process of graduate medical education. All observers or team participants are fully vetted by the Allegheny Health Network. Our process involves detailed introductions of all staff members and observers. For patient safety and security, same-sex medical professionals are present for all visits. Doctors can not comment directly on specifics due to HIPAA restrictions which allow anonymous reviews to go unchecked.

Dr. Christoforetti was personable, very knowledgeable, and kind. He made me feel confident in his diagnosis. I would highly recommended him. And no, I am not his Mother posting this review. :)
Thank you for taking the time to share a positive comment. I hope these comments reduce stress and anxiety for patients seeking my care. My mom will be grateful you cleared her name (it's Lucy, and she's a great pediatric nurse). I've got a long way to go to get as good as her, but I do my best each day for those I serve.

Dr. Christoforetti II says...

My passionate professional focus has been on mastering available techniques in joint preserving (non-replacement) surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee.  Through serving as design consultant for surgical devices, lecturer and instructor for major national and international medical society programs and appointment at the University level my team and my patients share our knowledge to expand our impact on others who may not have that access.

While often the best available expert diagnosis may open the door for surgical care, it is the conservative path that we attempt first.  Indeed there are even rare times when we are unable to match a patient with an appropriate surgical option.  Our hope is to offer a clear path forward in all cases based upon the patient's goals, state-of-the-art expertise, and best evidence.

I encourage all patients to seek this level of commitment from their providers before electing surgery to ensure the best outcome possible.
