My husband had a complex issue and we saw several doctors before finding Dr. Carlisle. He was the only one we found who could fix all the problems in one surgery. After the operation he spent quite a bit of time with me explaining the procedures, showing photos and detailing what recovery would look like. I've seen him twice for myself. In all visits (approx. 15 all together) he's been nothing but professional, kind and thorough. I trust his skills and his judgment and wouldn't go to anyone else

I saw Dr. Carlisle after slipping in my kitchen and stubbing my toe.I was surprised to find out that I had two breaks in the same toe. Dr. Carlisle was patient and caring and answered all of my questions. I am an avid exerciser, and taking a break from all activity for 8 weeks was incredibly difficult for my state of mind. But,Dr. Carlisle stressed the importance of following his prescribed protocols and I'm happy to say that my toe has healed perfectly straight, and I've returned to all activity!

I was sent to see Dr. Carlisle because of an on-the-job injury to my hip. After taking some x-rays and reviewing the MRI report, he wrote "I suspect that changes are a result ~." Further he wrote "hip pain is felt to be ~." What kind of Doctor does this? "I suspect" or "is felt" that is not what a Doctor does. I don't come to your house and see the roof is leaking and say I suspect you have a leaky roof. This Doctor never touched me nor asked how bad off I was. Very bad attitude. Smug.

This guy is very unprofessional, rude, and conceded. I was a patient (not by choice) of his tore my labrum in my hip. Months after surgery informed him that i think i tore it again. Never once did he take an mri after my complaint. After questioning him why he wouldnt order an mri he became very hateful and raised his voice at me and said " If i dont like his practice to get a second opinion." What do you know got a second opinion and my labrum was retorn.

Rushed though an exam and questioned the assessment of and other doctor for a condition he didn't witness. Wasn't impressed. Won't return.

I saw Dr. Carlisle over a year ago with a knee injury, and he ordered the appropriate tests to diagnose the problem. I believe him to be highly competent and am completely satisfied with the advise he gave.

Dr. Carlisle repaired the labral tear I had in my right hip. The surgery went smoothly, everyone was very kind before and after my surgery. I couldn't have asked for or had a better experience with Dr. Carlisle.

After numerous visits with other Doctors, I was thankful to have finally been referred to Dr. Carlisle. Surgery seemed inevitable--at least that's what previous Doctors said. Dr. Carlisle took the time to properly exam and diagnose the problem. We were able to avoid surgery through minimally invasive procedures. I'm pain free and stronger than ever. In a time where surgery seems to be the first resort, it's comforting to find Doctors like Carlisle who's primary concern is your well being.

Dr. Carlisle repaired my daughters knee when she tore her ACL during a club soccer game. I thought he did a wonderful job not only in communicating with us about the injury but also how well it seems to have turned out. I have and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a orthopedic surgeon.

He didn't listen to my husband very well. And wants to do multiple mri's instead of just one. Thats money out of our pockets that doesn't need to be.
Kansas City, MO |
Dr. Carlisle really took the time to talk with my son and find out about his injury, and to learn what it was that was important to my son regarding getting back into playing his sports. Could not be more pleased. Would highly recommend.
