Dr. Barr refused to see me after I drove 90 miles to see him. I was stopped on my way to his office due to an amber alert in the county, police had a check point. I was his last patient of the day and he refused to wait 10 minutes for me to arrive. His staff proceeded to tell me they found something “pertinent” in my MRI, yet his nurse or any of his staff refused to speak with me. I am a disabled veteran and have seen over 50 doctors in the past 5 years. He is by far the most unprofessional “medical professional,” I have ever encountered. He has ZERO compassion. A doctor that is there for his high paying profession, not the well being of his patients. He may be a good surgeon but he lacks basic human decency and ethical skill. I would highly consider seeing another physician if you do not want to be treated like a number.

Dr Barr is a humble, sweet human being, and an absolutely amazing neurosurgeon. His surgery left me absolutely pain free, with no need for the first pain pill!! Two levels were operated on, deflation and laminotomy. He was very patient with me and my family, and took a lot of time explaining what was going to be done. Five stars isn’t enough.

Dr. Barr performed a posterior cervical laminectomy with fusion and instrumentation on my neck 3/2/16. I think he did an excellent job. I had pain at first, as you would expect, but my recovery went smoothly. Dr. Barr gave me frequent checkups with x-rays, and I recovered completely with no problems. Dr. Barr was always professional and kind. I recommend him highly. If I were to need spinal surgery again, I would definitely seek him to be my surgeon.

Would listen to the complaints of pain my husband had after fusion and not do anything about. He is still in pain today. Would not give him a rating for workman's comp. Had to go to another doctor for a rating that was in with workman's comp so didn't get a good rating. 2 years later and he still can not work and is in chronic pain. The staff is the worst. They don't keep the workman's comp nurse out of the room for privacy. The women in the front office are also nasty and no help.

Dr. Barr was great from start to finish. My back was injured in a car accident, requiring surgery. He explained the entire process to me and my wife several times, ensuring we had no questions. At first, he was going to try to allow me to heal without surgery. This just shows that he won't do it unless it's 100% necessary. Complications arose and he did what was medically necessary. I knew I was in good hands.
