Terrible experience
I injured my hand on the job. After being a patient at Mid-America Orthopedic for 10 weeks I was only seen by Dr.Babb only twice. The PA that I saw every other time disregarded the amount of pain I was in, and I’m pretty sure never looked at the notes from any of my PT appointments. After this much time to still be in a fair amount of pain and also tightness, limited range of motion, and limited grip strength. Finally I had to ask to be referred out to another local hand specialist in town. Upon my request Dr.Babb discharged me and cleared me to return to work with no restrictions. Knowing that I work a physical job that requires full function of both hands. This entire experience has been very disheartening. I only wish workman’s comp. Ins. would have sent me somewhere else.

First time visit
I was referred to Dr. Babb by my Primary Care Physician. He was very personable, explained what he thought was going on and gave me some options on the treatment to proceed with. Should I need this type of care again in the future, I will return to Dr. Babb.

Good as new!
This is the second time that I had Dr. Babb's do surgery on a knee. The first was the right knee and this time the left. I had meniscus tears on both plus different issues on both. A detached root and an ACL tear. He fixed all of these issues and a couple more. He's not one of those doctors who look at you from the door and leave. He takes as much time as you need to understand what's going on. I was unable to walk upstairs without lifting my leg before surgery. There was a lot of pain. By the time that my last appointment took place, I was pain free. I also, want to acknowledge Cody who is a PT at the West Kellogg office. He is outstanding! You would be fortunate to get him or Mark as your PT. They will get you back on your feet!

I have been a patient of mid america orthopedics for many years. In that time I have seen Dr Babb or another member of his team for my orthopedic needs. I am disabled and 55 years old. At every visit, I am treated with the utmost curtasy , understanding and medical professionalism by the team and when I leave an appointment, I feel that my needs have been heard Dr Babb or his team , I have been understood , my medical needs have been diagnosed properly and promptly. the receptionists are kind and curtious in their dedication to help me schedule any follow up appointments or outpatient treatments such as physical therapy or pain management as is needed to continue my success at remaining physically and mentally healthy . I thank Dr Babb and his team for all they have done for me and all they continue to do and for making me feel as though I am a person, not a number . Thank u Dr Babb and team! :) :) :) Sincerely, j. Leuci

Knee Consult
The appointment was very quick and I feel that Dr. Babb was genuine with his consult in identifying a necessary surgery to repair a tear in my knee. The office was very proactive to his recommendation and scheduled something for the same month as well as the follow on therapy.
