I would definitely recommend Dr. Nelson to my family members and friends. Although I only saw him three times for annual check-ups, he was always very personable and willing to take the time to talk to me. I really enjoyed having him for one of my health care providers. I always appreciated his warm smile and great handshake.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nelson's for several years for a pulmonary issue and he has been an excellent resource for me in my treatment. I have easily been able to make appointments when necessary, he listens attentively each time I come in to see him and I feel confident in the plans he advises me to implement. I would highly recommend him to others and have done so in the past.

Dr Nelson is an excellent doctor. He reassured me when I was admitted by explaining exactly how I was going to be treated and the positive outcome I could expect. My family and I knew I was going to be in good hands. When I later saw him in the office he answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. He ordered several tests then and when the results were available later that day he called me himself!

Dr Nelson literally listened to me as I explained what I had been going through for the last 6 months with my coughing and hacking phlegm. He analyzed and gave me prescriptions for two types of pills and an inhaler. Within a week, I was 20 times improved over anything my regular doctor suggested. At my next appointment, the results of a cat scan should be ready and I appreciate the op to have that scan made.

Dr. Nelson has been my pulmonologist for at least 15 years. He has not only taken good care of my health but has provided me with thoughtful, caring service on every visit. Even though I see him infrequently, he remembers me well; he asks about how I've done throughout the year and acts as if he has all the time in the world for me when I'm there. His office staff is proficient, friendly and timely in their care. I could not be happier with my experience.

While it was difficult to get in to see the doctor on short notice for an urgent appointment, once we were able to get in everything was handled in a very professional, calming manner.

I have met with Dr. Nelson twice in the last few months, the first was in July the night before my hip replacement surgery when he approved me being able to do the surgery with my COPD. At that time he requested that after my recovery from the surgery that I have a CT scan of my lunges. I did the scan and it was found that I had places on my right lunge. Dr. Nelson then set up a PET scan to determine if the nodules were cancerous they were not. Dr. Nelson is the best I have ever met.
