Dr. Appleton did not look at my MRI diagnosis. He looked at one X-ray taken in his office, and immediately said I did not have a problem. Had he looked at my records, MRI, he would have known differently. Breezed in and out all within 10 minutes. He will never get the chance again! I am seeing another orthopedic surgeon.

Appleton did a total hip replacement on me and his procedure at Baylor Uptown went terribly wrong and his miscalculations left me with the surgery side leg being 1 inch shorter then my other leg. Would never recommend this person to anyone!

Dr Appleton accurately diagnosed my knee issue on first visit. Recommended PT not surgery. After six weeks PT my extension and flexion is perfect.

Arrogant! Spent 10 seconds looking at xray and said "I don't operate on joints that look that good". I asked him about stem cell injections. He acted like it was only for the shady practitioners to administer and did not engage in any reasonable, fact based discussion. Quickly left the room. 30 second assessment. Total face time = 2 mins. Even though I should be happy since surgery not required, I am not. I would not recommend him to anyone I care about.

Dr. Appleton did a total hip replacement for me. I was walking unaided with no pain in less than 3 weeks after surgery. He was thorough in showing and explaining the diagnosis. His sense of humor also keeps you relaxed in a normally stressful situation. He is very focused on ensuring you don't endure pain and is laser focused on avoiding infections. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. His staff also are caring and seem to enjoy what they do.

After seeing TWO other SURGEONS, I saw Dr. Appleton. He does the 'quad-sparing' surgery which is usually less trauma to the knee. His demeanor was professional yet casual and friendly. He gave me some choices other than surgery, which I am going to try. I have a higher than average knowledge of medicine so I want the best care. I think I am on the right track.
