Dr. Spitz is an amazing doctor if only he could keep your scheduled appointment. 80% of the time they call and cancel and then it's another 6 months to reschedule only to be cancelled again. And he is only in the office mornings. Rude admin staff.

Horrible
My appointment was at 12:15 pm (not even with the Doctor but with a PA). I walked out at 1 PM. I did not see a PA or a doctor. Very POOR customer service. Would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Spitz is an excellent doctor, with a great "beside manner" and a very caring fellow But.......I will never go back. Along with the other reviews, i have waited a long time in his old waiting room, without any explanation. Today I went during Covid. Every other doctor I've seen since Covid thinned out their schedules so patients waited less time. This is a safety procedure. Not in Dr. Spitz's office today. I arrived on time and was told to leave and return in a half hour. Which I did. And returned. Then I was told to come back in another half hour. The large waiting room had about 20 patients waiting. During Covid, in my opinion this is a negligence, inconsiderate and actually dangerous scheduling policy. I was shocked. The aggravation of this experience, and the disregard for patients' health, overcame my admiration for the medical skills of Dr. Spitz. I feel bad about my decision, but I don't regret it. Dr. Spitz is such a wonderful doctor! The wait can be discouraging however worth it in my opinion. Linda has also been wonderful in helping to have a prior authorization approved. Even Dr. Spitz offered to call the insurance company on my behalf! Expect a bit of a wait, bring a book to read in the meantime, and rest in the assurance you will get great care.

I have been to Dr. Spitz multiple times, and as a doctor he is great, but his office staff and the way they schedule is horrible. Appointment times do not matter, they are rude and not helpful at all. They schedule patients back to back with no consideration that you sit there and wait. I had a 8 am appointment and was still waiting in the waiting room at 9:00 am and a gentleman with an 8:15 was taken before me, Unless you have no other plans for the day then definitely make an appointment but for people who have schedules and plan accordingly this is not the office for you.

Had an appt that I made several weeks ago, got there about 10 minutes early and the waiting room was standing room only and there were patients waiting in the hallway outside the office. I finally got to the check in desk, asked how long the wait would be and was told that they didn’t know but that it would be quite awhile. I walked out and will be finding another Dr.

When I first saw Dr. Spitz, I waited over an hour to be seen. However, when I finally did see him, he was nice and I had a pleasant experience. The next time I went, I made an appt for my two year old and called 45 mins before my appt to see if there was a wait. I was told no. I got there to a sea of angry people waiting saying they had been there for an hour. We had a 3:45 appointment. At 5:30 I walked out and asked for my copay back. The office staff seemed unphased like it happens every day.

My sons first appointment with Dr. Spitz . Waited for an hour and half and finally gave up. Even my son said dad, this officenis a joke. Let's just leave. Would have been better if someone even said were running late or were backed up. Nothing. Pretty lazy and apathetic staff. Won't be gojng back. Seems this is a trend with this guy.

Same complaints as others. The office staff is extremely rude. One time, I checked in and was waiting over 1 1/2 hrs when I got up to see where I was in line. The secretary didn't have me listed and insisted I didn't check in. Really? I just walked into a doctor's office and just sat down to wait? Dr. Spitz may be knowledgeable, it not caring for compassionate. He doesn't return calls and doesn't care enough to follow up, like he says he would. Cannot recommend!

Had a 4 o'clock appointment as a new patient. I left my job 2 hours early to take a train from Manhattan to get back in time for my appointment. At 530, I was told there were still 2 people ahead of me. I left before being seen, as other patients informed me that this is typical of his office. One of the two ladies at the front desk was also extremely rude.

Office staff at entry are rude and unprofessional. Woman at desk was cleaning her phone and making herself comfortable instead of helping they three patients standing and waiting. Now waiting 45 min for my appointment. Had I not paid my copay, I would leave. Complete disrespect. Plus, after 5 months still unable to cure my condition. Will not be returning.
