Dr. Smith's Care Philosophy

My goal as an orthopedic surgeon is to include the patient in the decision making process from top to bottom. I am conservative with surgery and only recommend it as a last resort or if its the best possible option for you. I feel that the break down in health care is a lack of patient communication and expectations. I try my best to make sure the patient understands all options and possible outcomes/expectations when committing to a treatment plan.

Dr. Smith is an amazing doctor. He really listens to his patients and their concerns. After talking to him for a few minutes, you'll feel you're talking to a friend and not an orthopedic surgeon. He cares so much about his patients and their health and it really shows. I've had two knee surgeries by Dr. Smith this year. They've been tough to get through but this dr has been incredibly supportive and I don't think I could've done it without him. I will never be able to thank him enough.

He made me feel very comfortable very nice and easy to talk to !! He even did a great surgery on my shoulder
Dr. Smith is an amazing surgeon and has great bedside manner. My daughter dislocated her knee, he tried methods other than surgery. When the surgery had to be done he personally called us and described what needed to be done.

Dr Smith treats many orthopedic conditions. He performs arthroscopic shoulder, knee, hip, ankle, and elbow surgery including complex tendon and ligament repair.  He also does knee and shoulder replacement surgeries including partial and total knee replacement, as well as total shoulder and reverse total shoulder replacement.  He also manages and performs surgery on other general orthopedic surgeries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tennis elbow, broken bones, etc.  He believes conservative treatment is the best option and surgery is  a last resort for most conditions.  His desire is to make sure his patients are actively involved in the decision make process when it comes to their treatment plan.
