Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Smith "My goal as an orthopedic surgeon is to include the patient in the decision making process from top to bottom.  I am conservative with surgery and only recommend it as a last resort or if its the best possible option for you.  I feel that the break down in health care is a lack of patient communication and expectations.  I try my best to make sure the patient understands all options and possible outcomes/expectations when committing to a treatment plan."

Dr. Smith is an amazing surgeon and has great bedside manner. My daughter dislocated her knee, he tried methods other than surgery. When the surgery had to be done he personally called us and described what needed to be done.
