Saw Dr. Hurt for significant knee pain. He correctly diagnosed no ligament tears. Next step was an MRI to get a better picture. That came back squeaky clean. Now, the next step is to remedy the problem through physical therapy. Although we weren't able to identify the problem, he did eliminate several possibilities. Along the way Dr. Hurt did listen to me and tried to understand my symptoms and as well as my own theories which was appreciated.

I was so fortunate to get care for my left wrist injury from Dr Hurt. He knew right away with X Rays the issue and necessary Outpatient surgery to fix it. Wonderful communicator, direct and caring. His staff has been amazing too, able to answer questions honestly and keep the healing moving forward coordinating with PT. Thus was my first ever “surgery” and together his team gave me supportive care all the way through. They handled the COVID changes seamlessly, which started about a week after my surgery.

Dr. Hurt is an excellent surgeon and a very kind person. Four weeks ago he did a total knee replacement on me. I could not be more pleased! My knee feels better than it has in thirty years. I’m back doing water aerobics, hiking and bicycling. Yes, I had to work really hard with my physical therapist, Colleen, to get to this point but it was worth it! I highly recommend Dr. Hurt and his staff for your orthopedic needs.

Dr. Hurt is very kind, caring & compassionate in addition to being an excellent surgeon. He thoroughly explained my diagnosis & my options. He took the time to listen to & discuss my concerns. His entire team is efficient, professional & just as caring as Dr. Hurt. Really appreciated that he asked if I’d like a prayer before the surgery & then offered it. The total knee replacement went very well & my family was kept informed before, during & after the procedure. I was up walking within 3 hours of coming out of recovery. Very pleased & will have Dr. Hurt do my other knee & shoulders.

I was referred to Dr. Hurt for a second opinion. I had debilitating pain and weakness in both knees, to the point where I was using a cane to get around. We were able to schedule a next-day appointment, and cortisone shots were given that same day, but the pain relief only lasted about a week. A follow-up appointment led to an MRI, which revealed much greater arthritis damage than originally thought. MAKO robotic-assisted replacement surgery on the left knee was scheduled for October 7, 2019 and performed by Dr. Hurt and Molly, his P.A. I was walking within hours that day, off the walker and cane within a week. My recovery was so remarkable, I asked Dr. Hurt at the six-week checkup to consider doing the right knee before year's end. We scheduled the right knee surgery that day, and it was performed exactly 10 weeks after the left knee. Staff at St. David Surgical Hospital on Louis Henna is top-notch! We *highly* recommend Dr. Hurt and his helpful staff for your orthopedic needs.
