Dr. Bauman is excellent. I had a herniated disc at L4 L5 that was causing excruciating sciatic nerve pain. I was unable to sleep for more than an hour or two before waking up in pain. For 6 months, I had almost constant burning, shooting pain down my right leg and numbness in my right foot. I tried physical therapy and steroid injections, nothing relieved the pain until the surgery. I am no longer in pain, well on my way to a full recovery and soon back to my regular activities. Thank you Dr. Bauman for giving me my life back!

I consider myself very lucky to have found Dr. Bauman when it was clear I needed significant cervical surgery. He is meticulous, wise, and cares about his patient (that's me). Pre-op, during op, and post-op, I knew I was in capable hands...and that's important when someone is cutting into your spine. I highly recommend him. And, his office staff is excellent and responsive. Your in EXCELLENT hands with Dr. Bauman!

I didn't get past the receptionist to schedule an appointment. She was rude, kept interrupting and hung up while i was in mid sentence. My husband was referred by his primary care for a herniated disk. The office told his pcp that Dr Bauman was going to be away the next 2 weeks. My husband was in excruciating pain, so I called myself to make sure there would be a physician there to see him because Dr Bauman wouldn't. I was told it was up to the dr. not me, when my husband would be seen.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bauman for a few years now and he is a great doctor. I have hydrocephalus and when I found myself having malfunctioning symptoms (which are critical) he acted fast to get me to Hartford hospital. He is a great surgeon and I am glad that I’m in his care. Would recommend him always.

I first saw Dr. Bauman after an MRI of my lower back revealed a number of problems. He is very thorough, always asking if I have any questions. Showing me models of the proposed treatment. Taking a conservative approach at first, I completed two months of physical therapy, this not helping the problem and making it worse, Dr. Bauman has me scheduled for a fusion on May 30th. Wish me luck! Looking to comment on the questions below, I am happy with my choice of Dr. Bauman my surgeon.

Since my surgery by dr Bauman, I have no more pain shooting through my legs, I can feel my feet touching the ground. He tried various other solutions before suggesting surgery. He and his staff treated us respectfully and with kindness and understanding. They are always available to answer questions. Life is good now . Thank you Dr Bauman.

I had L4 L5 fusions done by Dr Bauman in September 2017. Prior to the surgery I was unable to walk through a grocery store or stand in a line for more than a few minutes. The pain was debilitating and made acts of daily living impossible. After the surgery I was off pain medication within the first week. Within two months I returned to daily 2 mile walks. Dr Bauman and this surgery gave me my life back. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Bauman is the absolute best! I had to have cervical neck fusion and now I’m free of the nerve pain that affected me. He and his staff were very professional and treated me with care. I am very pleased with the results of my surgery and I recommend Dr. Bauman highly.

My experience here was not good and as a result I would recommend you look elsewhere for a more sympathetic and accommodating neurosurgeon and staff. Long story short, the office staff treated me in a way that no patient should ever be treated. In the end Bauman decided it was best to side with his staff and no longer see me as a patient. If you are looking for a neurosurgeon my advice is to keep looking. There are lots of good ones out there who will treat you much better than I was treated
