This content was provided by Dr. Hess "Dr. Hess completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York earning a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology. After working as a Clinical Microbiologist, she went on to complete her Medical Degree, graduating Magna cum Laude from the State University of New York – Health Science Center at Brooklyn and being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She performed her Internship in Internal Medicine at the Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, completing her Ophthalmology Residency at the Friendenwald Eye Institute at Maryland General Hospital. Dr. Hess furthered her training by completing a Fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases and Surgery with Contact Lens Training at the Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Hess has been in private practice since 1995, with a concentration in Anterior Segment and Corneal Surgery. Currently she practices Medical Corneal and General Ophthalmology. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology."
